Ukome
The UKOME (Transportation Coordination Center) tracking system is a system that provides public transportation, traffic management and transportation coordination in major cities in Turkey (especially in Istanbul). UKOME is a center established by municipalities and relevant authorities to make decisions about transportation infrastructure, make traffic arrangements and coordinate public transportation systems. The UKOME tracking system is used to make transportation more efficient, reduce traffic congestion and ensure that urban transportation is managed more regularly.
What is the UKOME Tracking System Used For?
- Public Transportation Management: Coordination of public transportation vehicles such as buses, trams and metros in the city is done. Vehicle routes, departure times and passenger density are tracked.
- Traffic Monitoring and Management: Monitors and manages traffic flow. Directions can be provided in areas with heavy traffic congestion.
- Road Condition and Infrastructure Control: Monitors infrastructure work and road conditions, plans regulations and announcements.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collects and analyzes traffic and transportation data in the city. Decision support systems are developed with this data.
- Vehicle Tracking and Reporting: Various reports are created with the locations and speeds of public transportation vehicles by tracking them.
